Johns Hopins University's Homewood Museum is hosting its 11th Annual edition of a yearly sellout: An Evening of Traditional Beverages on June 14th.

Crazy for Gin, the event, is described in JHU's monthly events email as follows:

Join us on Homewood's lawn as wine and spirit connoisseurs Nelson Carey and Chris Attenborough of Grand Cru Wine Bar illuminate gin's evolution from medicinal concoction and moral scourge to empire export and high-society favorite.

A tasting and reception follows with delicious hors d'oeuvres from the Spice Company, classic G & T cocktails, and a raffle drawing! Raffle grand prize is a pair of cut glass decanters, c. 1835 ($500 value). Raffle tickets are $10 each for 2 or $15. Need not be present to win; call (410) 516-5589 to purchase tickets.
