Perfect Strangers: Bronson Phichot and Mark Linn-Baker
Tonight, at 10:30pm, on the DIY Network (Comcast 121-Baltimore City), Broson Pinchot appears in a much different role than that of Balki Bartokomous (Perfect Strangers), Serge (Beverly Hills Cop), or Alfred Schultz (The Flamingo Kid).
Tonight, February 11th, is the premiere of The Bronson Pinchot Project. On this new show, Pinchot is doing what he does best (in Pennsylvania) — and he's sharing it with us. My first thought after reading about the series was, Well, of course not, don't be ridiculous!
Go figure. Pinchot as a historian and restorationist? Sounds odd at first blush, but I've set my DVR to record every episode. I have a feeling this series is going to be great fun.
Here are a few facts about Bronson Pinchot that I'll bet you don't know. Pinchot:
- son of a typist and a bookbinder, was born in New York City
- was raised in southern California
- attended South Pasadena High School where he was number one in his class and valedictorian
- attended Yale University on a full scholarship
- graduated from Yale's Morse College magna cum laude
- became a Freemason in 2002*
- appeared in six episodes of the CBS soap opera, The Young and the Restless
- is intensely interested in ancient Greek sculputre
- is an excellent singer, appeared in Sondheim reviews with Carol Burnett.
